Do certifications affect the quality of the cup? That depends on many factors including what happens after the coffee leaves the farm through transportation, storage, roasting and brewing. Nothing shy of easy, the coffees in SQ1 Guatemala Women's Co-Op is the work of over 664 contributing members of the ASPROCDEGUA farming cooperative, most from farms of 2 hectares (5 acres) or less. Certified Women owned, Certified Organic and Certified Fair Trade and that's before it lands on our coast for roasting.
