A classic espresso with a modern twist? You’d expect nothing less from east London speciality hub, Climpsons. A medium roast, it’s perfectly balanced and boasts some rich chocolate and dried fruit flavours. Great however you like your brew.

Sparkling with up front pear-like acidity, The Yard’s flavour notes then move into red apple and juicy apricot, ending with a delicious caramel sweetness. Although versatile across all espresso drinks, The Yard’s complexity shines when enjoyed black.

A darker espresso roast, Stronghold is aptly named. As celebration of the the blend’s incredible coffees, sourced directly from Brazil, a more traditional approach to roasting has resulted in a bold profile with resounding notes of dark chocolate, fudge and dark sugar.

Daterra was conceived in the 80s when the term 'sustainability' was not as popular as today. However, the Daterra Coffee project was conceived to produce speciality coffee, grounded in environmental preservation and social development. Cerrado Mineiro, where this espresso roast comes from, is a great example of Daterra's approach to striking a balance between the demands of agronomy and maintaining the surrounding environment's health.

200 Degrees Coffee's aim is simple, they want everyone to drink better coffee. They ship only the finest green beans from Rainforest Alliance farms back to the UK where they're roasted at 200°C to give a full bodied, smoother taste, hence the name. 200 Degrees Coffee was founded by Rob and Tom, who met while studying engineering at the University of Nottingham. Redemption Roasters live up to their name. As the world's first prison based coffee roastery, they're committed to using coffee to help reduce reoffending in the UK. Their mission: they believe great coffee can come from people and places you wouldn't expect. At their roastery HQ in HMP The Mount in London, they train offenders in coffee industry skills with the aim of reducing reoffending in the UK. Square Mile Coffee Roasters is a London-based coffee roasting company fuelled by curiosity, committed to excellence, and obsessed with flavour. Founded by Anette Moldvaer and James Hoffmann in 2008, Square Mile is now directed by Felicity Whitehead. Their purpose is clear: to consistently deliver a delightful coffee experience by sourcing outstanding coffee and roasting it to bring out its best. An eruption of flavour and great energy, Volcano Coffee Works is a slice of the antipodes in London. This ethical, indie roastery was founded by Kiwi Kurt Stewart in 2010, who had a mission to bring the great tasting coffee he'd grown up with to the UK. Mission accomplished. 

Volcano Coffee Works live by their motto “give everyone a fair shot”. What started as a humble coffee cart on the streets of West Norwood has bloomed into a state-of-the-art roastery in Brixton with a 30 strong team.
