Camber

Ethiopia Wuri Grade Zero

Cantaloupe, Lavender, Nectarine

This experimental microlot was fermented for 48 hours before washing with fresh water. Once dried, the coffee was treated to extra sorting steps at the dry mill, including several additional passes through an optical sorter, and a longer, slower hand-removal of imperfections. The goal being to produce a better-than-grade-1 result, hence the grade “0”.

Roaster notes

"Communities around Gedeb reach some of the highest growing elevations for coffee in the world, and have a long history of arabica preservation and genetic diversity. Worka Sakaro is a municipality located in northeast Gedeb close to the Guji border. This coffee comes from the Wuri washing station, whose name in the Gedeo language translates to high altitude."

From day one, Camber coffee roasters philosophy has been to take their time and do things the right way. They work with a variety of importers to source their coffees, and thoughtfully roast them to bring out a striking balance of complexity and sweetness. In July 2017, Camber opened the all-day cafe of their dreams in downtown Bellingham. In 2018, they were named Best Coffee in Washington State by Food & Wine Magazine, as well as one of the top 21 roasters in the country by Thrillist.
