Roaster notes
\"The Napoles farm is a family project that began 45 years ago, when Darlin's father decided to plant his first coffee plants. At that time, there were no electric depulpers or washing facilities, but he knew coffee would be a good business if he worked hard.\n\nAs time passed, Darlin's father married Teodolinda Arce, and they started to improve the facilities, purchase more land, and prosper economically, which improved their living conditions. Starting with a few coffee plants, he expanded his land to 18 hectares. \n\n12 years ago, Darlin's father passed away. Darlin's mother took charge of the farm for five years, focusing more on specialty coffee and participating in different quality competitions, even earning 2nd and 3rd place in the Best of Cauca competition.\n\nSix years ago, Darlin and his wife, Jaqueline, took over the management of the farm from Darlin's mother. They have continued improving the facilities, planting new varieties of coffee, and implementing sustainable practices. Now, they are proud to have solar panels to reduce energy use, process natural coffees to conserve water, and transition some parts of the farm to organic plantations.\n\nThey are passionate about coffee and very proud to continue growing the business as Darlin's father did. They have two children who are 13 and 3 years old. Their 13-year-old daughter already has a passion for coffee and enjoys cupping coffee with her dad.\"
Roaster
Notes Coffee Roasters hit all the right ones. As their motto says: “High Grade, Sourced at Origin, Lovingly Roasted in East London!” What more could you ask for? Notes Coffee Roasters aren't your typical roastery. They only work with single origin coffee and never dabble in blends. This means their portfolio of coffees are singular, are the efforts of hard working farmers at origin are rewarded. Expect delicate coffees and myriad of flavours, and know that your morning brew is helping contribute to the maintenance and continued improvement of harvest at source. Now that’s something we hear (and taste) on repeat.
