Ladro
Sumatra Lintong Sigumpar
Cedar, Meyer Lemon, Thyme
Sumatran coffee is much sought-after for its earthy, herbal flavor notes that liken it to high-end scotch. If you haven't tried it, well, there's nothing else quite like it! Wild flavors meet smooth body when brewed as espresso or earthy, spicy bakers cocoa as a fitler. We'd suggest experiencing this aromatic single origin through your drip or filter brewer on a day when you feel like shaking up the status quo.

Roaster notes
This lot was processed by Bidner Hutasoit, a third-generation coffee farmer in Sigumpar Village. This coffee's distinct cedar and herbal flavor is imparted through Sumatra's unique Giling Basah (wet hull) process, where beans are partially dried inside the coffee cherry. We keep the roast degree on the lighter side of medium to showcase the region and fruit flavors with a bright meyer lemon sweetness and aromatic thyme.
Roaster
Ladro has always valued sustainably and ethically produced coffee, adopting a 'fair trade only' since 2000. Around 2011 they launched Ladro Roasting, which opened up the ability to source green coffee through direct relationships and reach a country-wide customer base.
