Old Spike is old in name only, their fresh approach to coffee means they’re the UK's first social enterprise, speciality coffee roastery. This means you can have your speciality coffee and help end homelessness too. 65% of their profits go towards directly supporting people experiencing homelessness. They first launched as a cafe and roastery space in London’s Peckham Rye — establishing themselves as the first speciality coffee roastery to operate as a social enterprise. Since then, they've continued to be at the forefront of using coffee as a vehicle for social change. Beyond helping closer to home, their approach to sourcing speciality grade coffee is based on the principles of direct trade, quality and seasonality. Win, win, win.

Neighbourhood coffee is a roastery with a simple aim: they're all about bringing you coffee to make you smile. Behind this ethos lies lots of work, thought and passion from Liverpool’s first specialty roastery. 
The friendly Liverpool locals at Neighbourhood Coffee are fanatical about producing the perfect brew, and putting a smile on your dial while they're at it. When it comes to Ozone Coffee, quality prevails. With over 20 years in the business, they’re an international speciality coffee company and name. Ozone Coffee exist to lead the charge in changing the way coffee is valued, grown, produced and enjoyed. All to ensure a bright future for the industry. Founded over 20 years ago, they have multiple sites across the UK and New Zealand. During this time, one of their key focus’ has been on cultivating long-term relationships with coffee communities at origin to help ensure producers are supported. An eruption of flavour and great energy, Volcano Coffee Works is a slice of the antipodes in London. This ethical, indie roastery was founded by Kiwi Kurt Stewart in 2010, who had a mission to bring the great tasting coffee he'd grown up with to the UK. Mission accomplished. 

Volcano Coffee Works live by their motto “give everyone a fair shot”. And they're not just talking about a perfectly extracted espresso — this ethical roastery is all about brewing, serving and roasting great speciality coffee while supporting the livelihoods of the communities who grow and produce it. What started as a humble coffee cart on the streets of West Norwood has bloomed into a state-of-the-art roastery in Brixton with a 30 strong team. Founder Kurt Stewart has been there throughout, ensuring everyone has a great cup whilst ensuring Volcano has a real, positive impact on all the lives it touches.

Notes Coffee Roasters aren't your typical roastery. They only work with single origin coffee and never dabble in blends. This means their portfolio of coffees are singular, are the efforts of hard working farmers at origin are rewarded. This East London family-run coffee roastery prides itself on serving great coffee to all. Great coffee means more than just speciality coffee beans. When it comes to Perky Blenders, it also means ethical sourcing and producing. Founded by 2015 by brothers Tom and Adam Cozens, along with Adam’s wife, Victoria, they can lay claim to running four stores across London, supplying many stores around the UK and also a bunch of awards. Square Mile Coffee Roasters is a London-based coffee roasting company fuelled by curiosity, committed to excellence, and obsessed with flavour. Founded by Anette Moldvaer and James Hoffmann in 2008, Square Mile is now directed by Felicity Whitehead. Their purpose is clear: to consistently deliver a delightful coffee experience by sourcing outstanding coffee and roasting it to bring out its best. As front-runners in the vibrant London coffee scene, their approach to sourcing is built on open dialogue, where feedback and expertise flow both ways, and risk is shared more fairly across the supply chain. 200 Degrees Coffee's aim is simple, they want everyone to drink better coffee. They ship only the finest green beans from Rainforest Alliance farms back to the UK where they're roasted at 200°C to give a full bodied, smoother taste, hence the name. 200 Degrees Coffee was founded by Rob and Tom, who met while studying engineering at the University of Nottingham. The pair founded the company in 2012 in response to their frustrations with the standard of coffee and service from suppliers. Fast forward to today and they've built a veritable coffee empire, comprising of over 20 distinct coffee shops and 7 barista schools, all dotted across the midlands and north of England.
