Ethiopia Arsosala
Apricot, Bergamot, Milk Chocolate
This is a wahsed process coffee from the Arsosala washing station in from the distinguished Guji region of southern Ethiopia. It has distinctive tasting notes of apricot, milk chocolate, and bergamot; and suits being brewed as filter or modern Espresso. The Arsosala washing station has been serving the local coffee community since 2015 and this microlot is cultivated by approximately 1,900 smallholder farmers across the Uraga woreda of Guji at an impressive altitude of 1,900 metres above sea level. The coffee undergoes a rigorous washed processing method that begins with the careful cherry selection of around 90% perfectly ripe cherries which have the ideal red colour. The cherries are depulped on the same day they re picked, fermented overnight, then washed clean and dried on raised beds. This precise approach showcases the distinctive qualities of Ethiopian Heirloom varieties and highlights the unique terroir of this high-altitude region. Roasted for espresso or filter.
