Chelbesa is located at 2100 masl, close to Worka Town in Gedeb. The coffee undergoes a 72 hour wet fermentation to break down the wet mucilage from the parchment layer. In this stage the sugars are broken down into flavour precursors, which influence the final cup quality.

Since being founded in 2012 amid the discerning Melbourne specialty coffee scene, Code Black Coffee has blossomed. Their goal is to offer an all-encompassing experience accessible to everyone while paying respect to the many people that have contributed to each cup of coffee; from the grower to the barista. Made by humans, and as their motto states: “Made for Humans.”
