Airship coffee roasters' story started in 2008 through agricultural work in Central America, which led to importing green coffee from farmers and connecting with roasters nationwide. Curiosity got the best of them, and from there the team fell in love with roasting. Thanks to their experience in sourcing, Airship has been able to build long-standing relationships with folks growing some of the best coffee in the world.  

Airship currently operate two bustling cafes in Bentonville, Arkansas. There's a neighborhood hangout at the 5th Street coffee bar and a one-of-a-kind, open-air cafe in the woods at their Coler Preserve location.

By 2012, they were crowned the prestigious Micro-Roaster of The Year award by Roast Magazine, honoring their commitment to excellence, sustainability and quality. Nowadays Bird Rock continues to grow their range of sustainable relationships with farming partners at origin, paying fair prices and collaborating on long-term goals together. BRCR's slogan "Empowered by Great Coffee" underpins their motivation and inspiration by the many hands that touch each coffee — from the farm workers at origin to the baristas in your own kitchen.

Black & White coffee roasters operate three cafes and a roastery with the aim to provide amazing hospitality to guests and employees while creating a sustainable livelihood for producers and to pursue excellence in all things, especially in coffee quality. Specialized menu's that focus on both the classic blends and on rare, remarkable coffee varietals and processes for a more modern espresso adventure.  

Roasting all coffee in Brooklyn NY and shipping to 50 locations across North America, Bluestone Lane is committed to changing people’s perceptions of coffee – that means greater emphasis on the coffee's flavor experience and less about addressing a need for caffeine. Bluestone Lane Coffee are focused on turning locals into connoisseurs, fastidious about the quality of coffee they consume and the way it’s served. Boon Boona coffee are committed to sharing the unique coffee traditions of Africa. Founder and CEO Efrem Fesaha is from an Eritrean family but grew up in Seattle and used his understanding of the two vastly different cultures to make is mark on the coffee industry. After his initial business plan to open an East African coffee shop was rejected by banks, he remained persistent and in 2011 began importing quality green coffee directly from Ethiopia instead. Over the years word spread through the community, then Efrem began receiving requests for roasted beans, so he experimented and the Boon Boona Roastery and Cafe was born.

Creativity, Kindness and Coffee. Say it out loud. It's a little spell that Brandywine coffee roasters like to cast every morning at their roasting and printing operation hidden in Wilmington, Delaware. That's right - these roasters also boast screen printing facilities and are a hub for local art and culture, which go hand-in-hand with great, responsibly sourced coffee. Each hand-printed bag features a custom illustration from local Delaware artist Todd Purse, helping to emphasise that each coffee Brandywine release is a work of art living within another work of art.

The team at Camellia coffee has close-knit relationships with green bean importers, it all starts at the source. They work with known importers that are sure to pay above fair trade pricing. Ethical sourcing and transparency are important in the Specialty Coffee supply chain as a whole. Roasting coffee with care and respect is essential. Coffee Manufactory aims to make the world a little smaller by bringing coffee drinkers closer to farms, farms closer to roasters, roasters closer to baristas and so on. Coffee Project NY sources their high-grade coffees from all over the world and favors coffees with a social conscience - many come from small scale cooperatives and family farms who focus on improving work conditions and benefits for farm workers. After all, the Coffee Project NY mission statement is to improve the quality of life for every person in the coffee supply chain from producers to consumers.
