A little fruitier than its washed counterpart from KLLR, this is still an Ethiopian coffee at the top of its game. There's something about the way coffee grows so wild and free in these parts of Ethiopia that offers us a kaleidoscope of complex flavours rarely found elsewhere. A top pick for filter methods, hold the milk.

This coffee wouldn't be what it is without the hard work of Tiqiset Wakqo, one of a few female farmers in Ethiopia. She's got an incredible 20-acre coffee farm in Idido, in Southern Ethiopia. The really good news for her came in March of 2017, when the PM of Ethiopia approved a reform, allowing co-operatively owned washing stations to export their coffee directly, which means farmers there get higher prices, and increased recognition for the best quality Ethiopian coffee. Keeping coffee cultivation alive here is important: unlike much of the coffee-growing world, where coffee shrubs must be tended to with the utmost care, Southern Ethiopia’s high elevation and climate are ideal. Plus, the genetic diversity of local Arabica varieties contributes to both flavor complexity and the species’ survival.
Hand-picked by us, this discovery pack is for beginners, explorers, or even seasoned experts, who want variety or to try new flavors.
